Second Day of Christmas: I Am Alaska

Stream: “Carol of the Bells”

The second day of Christmas is always a little more dramatic, so today we’re offering up I Am Alaska‘s rendition of “Carol of the Bells”.  It’s a little more rocking and experimental than Trans-Siberian Orchestra – but significantly less hair.

If you’re a fan of post-hardcore bands like Thursday and Circa Survive, you’ll appreciate the Doylestown band’s latest EP To Elude the Architect (released in 2009 on No Sleep Records).

I Am Alaska plans to jump back into the studio in 2011 to release another EP with an album to follow shortly thereafter.  The band is hitting the road again in March and you can learn more about the band by visiting their Myspace, Twitter and Facebook pages.  Having heard some of the new demos, we are quick to give these guys a gushing endorsement.

Thanks again to I Am Alaska and Chris from No Sleep Records for helping us spread some holiday cheer this season!
